By car

From Fortaleza and its international airport it is about 175 km, roughly 2.5 hours, via the new four-lane road towards Itapipoca and then north to the coast.

By bus

Buses run from Fortaleza's main bus station to Itapipoca (about 3.5 hours). From Itapipoca it is another 50 km to Praia da Baleia by taxi or local transport.
